Very rare, mid 70's Tissot Seastar Quartz in beautiful condition.
Stainless steel case with integrated bracelet is in mint condition. Super sharp with polished sides and machine brushed front.
Sapphire crystal is intact.
Dial appears either grey or brown, depending on the angle. It's has a subtle texture that doesn't always show in pictures.
Movement is Tissot caliber 2030 that became Omega 1310 in 1976.
It's rather primitive looking, comparing to sophisticated quartz movements that Seiko and Citizen were producing at the same time. It is also very unusual in operating design.
Setting the time and date is a bit unusual. To adjust the hour and date, pull out the crown. Rotating it moves the hour hand in one-hour increments. You’ll need to complete two full rotations of the hour hand for the date to change. Once the hour and date are set, push the crown back in, then press and hold it until the minute and second hands start moving. Hold until the correct minute and second are set.
* please not that I do not offer any after sale support for this watch, like I do for all Seiko and Citizen watches, as I have no access to parts *
