1989 Seiko Dolce 5931-5381

 Beautiful and stylish 1989 Seiko Dolce high end quartz watch in near mint condition. 

Dolce was high end Seiko brand of dress watches in 80's and 90's. 

This model is a bit of mystery as I couldn't find it in any of Seiko catalogues. Also, there few things made me scratch my head. It features high end, high accuracy quartz caliber 5931. This move was used in late 70's and Ealy 80's in Credor, Dolce and few other high end models. However, but mid to late 80's, it doesn't show up in any watches listed in catalogues. Dolce name didn't appear until 1982, so it can not be from 1979. Another interesting thing is the case material. It's made of Tuntalum Carbide. This is the only Seiko I've seen made of it. 

There are some scratches on the caseback. Everything else is in pristine, mint condition.

Super sharp, smooth case. 

Sapphire crystal. 

Beautiful gold tone, textured dial with gold indeces and hands. 

Crown with onyx stone with no signs of wear. 

New Seiko black leather strap. 

Watch has been disassembled and cleaned. 

New battery and rubber gaskets.
