1979 Seiko Grand Quartz 9256-7000

Rare, 1978 Daini twin quartz Seiko Grand Quartz high end, high accuracy watch in very good condition. 

Caliber 9256 was short lived, only 3 years, Daini developed twin quartz caliber, similar to Suwa 9943. Both use dual quartz to compensate for changes in temperature that affect accuracy. Both were rated at +/- 10 secs per year. 

This model was quite expensive in 1979 with a price tag of 100,000 yen. 

Interesting looking case has softer lines than most other Grand Quartz models at that time. Front of the case along with the bracelet has horizontal fine hairline finish. 

Original clearlex mineral crystal had some scratches, so I replaced it with sapphire crystal. 

Ivory color dial is clean and elegant. It is original color, not patina. 

There are few very small scratches here and there but overall condition is very good. 

Full size original bracelet is also in very good condition. 

Calendar has weekdays in Kanji and English. 

Watch has been disassembled and cleaned. 

New battery and packing .
