Serviced 1979 Citizen Homer Second Setting 21 jewels hand winding watch.
Japan National Railway official watch. They were used as railway watches until JNR was privatized in 1986. These Homers were specifically adjusted for durability, visibility and accuracy.
They were not available for sale to public. They were made for railroad men, so design is simple.
This example is from Sapporo Railway Bureau and it's a very rare example due to its blue than usual enamel dial. There is a scratch at 11 minute marker. Other than that it's in beautiful condition.
Case and caseback are in very good condition.
On a new, quality, blue strap made in Japan by Bambi.
Movement is clean and working well. Homer is known for robust, work horse, accurate movement.
Unlike regular Homers, this one was made to even higher standard with added hacking (hence the name second setting) and dependable accuracy, as Japanese trains can not be late.
