1978 Seiko Grand Quartz 9943-8020

Serviced 1978 Seiko Grand Quartz high end twin quartz watch with interesting diamond dust patina dial. 

This was the top Grand Quartz model priced at 130,000 JPY in 1978

Diamond dust dial has developed subjectively beautifully, warm patina. Other than change in the color there are no other flaws in the dial. 

Case is made of hardened stainless steel ( HSS). Mirror polished and finely brushed.
Sapphire crystal is intact.

Bracelet is bit of a mistery. According to the catalogue and many examples of this reference, this bracelet is different. However, in my opinion, it fits the case better, much tighter, and it seems to be less flimsy. It's the same thickness and it has the same 9943 Grand Quartz unsigned clasp like the usual one. It's in excellent condition and it will fit up to 18cm wrist. 

Watch has been completely disassembled and cleaned.

New battery and all rubber gaskets (crown, battery hatch and caseback) 

Accuracy is excellent.
