A model launched in 1976, which set a new standard of precision at ±1 second a month. The battery life was extended to more than two years. The oscillating frequency was 32,768 Hz.
This was the most expensive Seiko in 1977. It cost 180,000 yen. By comparison, the most expensive Grand Quartz was only 100,000.

Disassembled and thoroughly cleaned.
There are some knicks on the bezel and some small scratches here and there but overall, the case is in very good condition. Sharp and edgy with the combination of brushed and polished surfaces.
The beautifully textured dial has developed nice, warm patina.
