Serviced 1976 Seiko Superior quartz watch in mint condition.
This is one of my favorite Seikos and in my opinion, the best Superior.
A model launched in 1976, which set a new standard of precision at ±1 second a month. The battery life was extended to more than two years. The oscillating frequency was 32,768 Hz.
This was the most expensive Seiko in 1977. It cost 180,000 yen. By comparison, most expensive Grand Quartz was only 100,000.
Disassembled and cleaned, including the movement.
HSS case is sharp and edgy with no noticeable scratches or dings. Caseback is also in very good condition with original brushed finish.
Beautiful 3D dial has onyx on hour markers and applied minute markers. Very detailed, delicate and expensive looking. It is clean, with no noticeable flaws.
Original Sapphire crystal is scratch free.
Original stainless steel bracelet is easily adjustable, full size. Also in excellent condition.

Pictures don’t do justice to how nice this model looks and feels in reality. The capstone to my quartz collection, Robert provided me with a beautiful example. He was able to regulate it so well it’s gained only 0.1 seconds in total over the last 10 days!
