Serviced 1974 Citizen Cosmotron Electronic watch in excellent condition.
In 1966 Citizen released first electronic watch in Japan. Electronic watches existed before, but Cosmotron was on a whole new level. It was the world’s first genuine electronic wristwatch that has adopted a moving-magnet type balance motor, driven by transistor on the regulating device. Production lasted for about 10 years as quartz watches took over completely by mid 70's.
This model is powered by the finest of all electronic movements and one of the most advanced iterations of hybrid watchmaking before quartz took over, caliber 7804.
It's a high beat, 36000 BPH, movement.
It also has unique calendar quick set function.
Holding the watch with 12 o'clock facing up and pushing the crown, advances date.
Holding it with 6 o’clock up and pressing crown, advances day.
