Serviced 1973 High end Seiko Quartz V.F.A (very fine adjusted) in excellent condition.
One of Seiko’s flagship Very Fine Adjusted (V.F.A.) quartz watches, introduced shortly after the groundbreaking 1969 Quartz‑Astron .
This was the top and most expensive Seiko in 1974 with a price tag of 141,000 yen. By comparison, the most expensive GS 6186 V.F.A was 110,000 yen. Housing the thermo‑compensated Caliber 3823A, running at 16,384 Hz—double the original Astron but half today’s standard—with fine regulation in six positions, achieving about ±2 seconds per month accuracy .
Contains 7 jewels and comes with front and rear antimagnetic covers, enhancing both precision and durability .
Featuring futuristic “UFO‑style” stainless steel case from the Suwa factory and a minimalist dial with applied metal hour markers.
There are couple of nicks on the case, but none too noticeable or distracting.
Dial is clean and flawless.
New hardlex crystal.
On original stainless steel bracelet sized to fit 17cm wrist. Retractable, spring loaded clasp extender can be added for additional 2cm in length. Let me know if you need it.
Completely disassembled and cleaned.
New battery and rubber gaskets.
