Serviced, very rare, 1973 Seiko advan, automatic watch with perpetual calendar.
7019-6050 is an unusual and relatively uncommon Japanese domestic-market automatic watch. Its standout feature is a manually operated perpetual-style calendar, integrated into a distinctive dial design.
The Advan line was developed for younger Japanese buyers, emphasizing modern, unconventional designs rather than traditional dress-watch styling.
The 7019-6050 was produced around 1972–1973, with documented examples from both years. It is particularly interesting because it combines a conventional automatic day-date movement with a separate calendar calculation system.
Unlike a mechanical perpetual calendar, the 7019-6050 uses a manually adjustable rotating ring to display the relationship between dates and weekdays throughout a month.
The dial has a date scale from 1 to 31 around its perimeter, while the rotating inner ring displays the weekdays.
The crown at 2 o'clock adjusts this calendar ring. By aligning the weekday with the first day of the month, you can determine the weekday corresponding to any date that month.
The crown at 4 o'clock operates the conventional movement functions, including time and day-date adjustment.
Importantly, the calendar ring does not advance automatically. It is a manual calendar calculator rather than a true mechanical perpetual-calendar complicatin.
Brown dial is spectacular and flawless.
Case is in pretty good condition, sharp with some minor nicks here and there.
Original stainless steel bracelet is in very good condition. It's fits 18.5cm wrist comfortably.
Completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated.
Movement is shiny and clean and runs strong with good accuracy.
Pull the crown one step to change date and push it to change weekday. Weekdays are in English and Kanji.
