Serviced, rare find, Seiko 5 Sport with an orange dial and original stainless steel bracelet in beautiful condition. This model was part of the second wave of Seiko 5 Sports watches, designed primarily for the Japanese domestic market (JDM), and showcased distinctive design elements and technical features.

The watch features a vibrant orange dial, a color choice that was bold for its time and has since become iconic among vintage watch enthusiasts. The cushion-shaped stainless steel case measures 40.5mm by 44.5mm, offering a substantial wrist presence without being overly large. Circularly brushed front is factory original. Sides have been polished.

An internal rotating bezel, operated via the crown, adds functionality and a sporty aesthetic.

Ultra cool, original steel bracelet is in excellent condition. Unfortunately, it comfortably fits up 17cm wrist. Clasp extension can be added at no charge for additional 16mm. Let me know if you need it.

NOS genuine Seiko hardlex crystal .

At its heart lies the Seiko 5126A automatic movement, operating at 19,800 beats per hour. This 23-jewel movement includes a day-date complication, with the date quickset function activated by pressing the crown. Notably, it lacks hand-winding and hacking features, which were more common in higher-end models of the time. The movement's architecture is distinctive, utilizing reverser wheels for the automatic winding mechanism, differing from Seiko's typical pawl and transmission wheel system.

The "70 Proof" marking on the dial indicates a water resistance of 70 meters, aligning with the "Sports" designation and emphasizing its durability for active use, however due to its age , it is better to keep it away from water. No swimming or showers.

The 5126-6010's unique design, combined with its limited production run, contributes to its desirability among collectors. Its association with the Daini Seikosha division, known for innovative designs, further enhances its appeal. The orange dial variant, in particular, stands out for its rarity and bold aesthetic, making it a sought-after piece for vintage watch aficionados.
