1968 Seiko 5 Sports 6119-8120

 Overhauled, iconic, ultra cool 1968 Seiko 5 Sports "diver" 21 jewels automatic watch in good condition. 

In 1968, Seiko 5 Sports was created as a more upscale model, targeting young people with more active lifestyles and was marketed as a sports watch with robust features. This model along with 6106-8120 was the first. 

It features caliber 6119( base caliber for 61GS). Movement is in excellent condition and runs accurately.

Case is in very good condition with some minor scratches. Sharp and edgy. 

Bezel is in good condition and it rotates bidirectionaly with ease. Bezel insert is the only part of the watch with noticeable blemishes. New old stock insert can be found on ebay, but I wanted to keep the watch original. 

Dial is in nice condition with lumed indexes showing signs of its age, but still looking good. Lume on the hands has some blackness around the edge, but as with the bezel insert, at this stage, it's better to keep it original. 

Stainless steel bracelet is aftermarket and with solid links it is of much better quality than the original. 

New crystal and new gaskets on the caseback and crown.
