1968 Seiko 5 Sports 6106-8120

 Overhauled, iconic, ultra cool 1968 Seiko 5 Sports "diver" 25 jewels automatic watch in very good condition. 

In 1968, Seiko 5 Sports was created as a more upscale model, targeting young people with more active lifestyles and was marketed as a sports watch with robust features. This model was the first. 

It features caliber 6106A ( base caliber for 61GS). Movement is in excellent condition and runs accurately. 6106A didn't have hacking, but I have added hacking lever found on 6106C, so you will have a upgraded model that hacks. 

Case is in very good condition with some minor scratches. Sharp and edgy. 

Bezel is in good condition and it rotates bidirectionaly with ease. Bezel insert is the only part of the watch with noticeable blemishes. New old stock insert can be found on ebay, but I wanted to keep the watch original. 

Dial is in beautiful condition with lumed indexes  still looking good. Lume on the hands has some blackness around the edge, but as with the bezel insert, I wanted to keep it original. If you wish, I can relume the hands. 

Stainless steel bracelet is aftermarket and wity solid links it is of much better quality than the original. However, original Seiko clasp is better. 

New crystal and new gaskets on the caseback and crown.
