Overhauled, 1966 Seiko Bell-Matic 27 jewels automatic alarm watch in beautiful condition.
The Seiko Bell-Matic 4006-7000 is a landmark in horological history, introduced in November 1966 as the world's first automatic wristwatch with a mechanical alarm powered by a central rotor . This model was exclusively available in Japan , making early examples particularly rare and sought after by collectors .
Equipped with the Caliber 4006A, a 27-jewel automatic movement featuring a day-date complication and a mechanical alarm function. The watch utilizes two separate mainsprings—one for timekeeping and another dedicated to the alarm. The alarm is set using a rotating inner bezel, adjusted via the crown at 2 o'clock. The alarm is activated by pulling out the alarm-setting crown and deactivated by pushing it back in .
The date can be quickly set by pressing the alarm-setting crown , while the day requires manual advancement by rotating the hands .
Completely disassembled, cleaned, reassembled and lubricated, regulated.
Beautiful, white dial with vertical hairlines. There's a black dot above 7 o'clock marker, otherwise very clean.
Case is in great condition, some small scratches here and there, but very sharp looking.
Caseback is in good condition.
NOS Genuine Seiko acrylic crystal.
