The Seikomatic range has been introduced at the beginning of the 60s. It was the upper range of the production of automatic watches by Seiko at that time
This model is the rare Ref.6201-8950. Made between 1964 and 1965, it's a simple no-date model, yet has an interesting design with pointed cylindrical indexes. The watch is powered by the automatic Cal.603 which is unusually gold-plated. During that time, Seikomatic produced models with 17, 20, and 30 jewels, but only those with 30 jewels were gold-plated. It is a relatively large size among vintage Seiko and it has a nice wrist presence.
