1964 Seiko Lord Marvel 5740-1990

Serviced 1964 Seiko Lord Marvel Low Beat manual winding watch in nice condition. 

This was a high end model just below Grand Seiko. It features caliber 5740A which is slightly detuned cal. 3180 found in first Grand Seiko. 

Few years later this caliber became 5740C, Seiko's first Hi Beat 36000 BPH movement.

Unlike the high beat version, low beat has hacking and accuracy almost as good as the 36000.

Watch and the movement have been completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, regulated.

New old stock Seiko crystal.

Untouched case, just lightly buffed with a cloth after cleaning.

Dial shows some signs of aging but it is still very impressive looking with vertical hairlines and sharp looking hands.

Watch runs well with good accuracy.
