Serviced, 60's Takano Chateau Superior, gold plated, 19 jewels manual winding watch.
Takano Precision was a short lived, high end, Japanese watchmaker, known for its exceptionally thin movements in the late 1950s and early 1960s. These models, such as the one featuring the 3.5mm thin movement, were high-end timepieces that briefly held the title of the world's thinnest wristwatches before being surpassed by Seiko. The brand's factory was heavily damaged by a 1959 typhoon, leading to its eventual insolvency, making original examples like the Chateau Superior rare collector's items.
This model features captivating, exceptionally finished dial inside a 20 microns, gold plated case.
There are some minor blemishes, but overall condition is very good for its age.
On a used, but clean and in very good condition, crocodile leather strap.
