Serviced, rare 1963 Seiko Cronos Special 23 jewels all gold filled 80 microns, manual winding watch with stunning SD dial.
This was a high end Seiko at the time and based on how well it works after 60 years, it is still a very fine watch.
Cronos was the base for the very first King Seiko, but in my personal opinion, I find this model all around better than the first King. Case is little heavier, it hugs the wrist better.
Symbol above 6 o'clock marker indicates that this is "Special Dial", meaning that applied indices and hands are made of solid yellow gold. The most distinctive feature is the alternating radial finish. The dial is divided into wedge-shaped sections radiating outward from the center, with alternating tones/finishes that create a geometric starburst effect.
Freshly cleaned and serviced.
New crystal.
New, quality Seiko cowhide leather strap.
