A rare and historically significant 1962 Seiko Cronos J13046—one of Seiko's early ventures into water-resistant watchmaking, featuring a triple-locking caseback and a double screwed-down balance bridge for durability under high pressure.
> Serviced & Running Well – Clean movement with excellent accuracy.
> Rare Black Dial – Not perfect but in very good condition for its age. Lume is still active.
> NOS Seiko Crystal – Replaced for a crisp, clear look.
> Case Condition – Some scratches and a few nicks, consistent with its age. Caseback has deeper marks from previous openings.
> Movement – Seiko Diashock 21-Jewel hand-winding movement, housed in a rugged case designed for tough conditions.
> Strap – Fitted on a vintage NOS Rhinoceros leather strap, adding to its classic appeal. How often do you see that? It's made in Japan, therefore not very long. Suitable for up to 17.5cm wrist or little bigger.
> Historical Importance – This is the model that inspired the first King Seiko.
A true collector’s piece and a fantastic example of Seiko’s innovative craftsmanship of the late 1950s and early 1960s.
