1962 Seiko Champion Alpinist J13049
1962 Seiko Champion Alpinist J13049
Serviced 1962 Seiko Champion Alpinist, 17 jewels hand winding watch.
One of the most desirable vintage Seikos with one of the coolest dials Seiko has ever made.
Case is sharp and untouched, only cloth buffed. There is a surface crack on the bezel at 4 o'clock.
Caseback is in great condition.
Dial has some flaws, as most vintage Alpinists do, but overall it's in a beautiful condition with lot of character. Original lume is mostly dead.
Early Alpinist had the same Seikosha caliber that was used in luxury Laurel brand. It's much nicer movement than 850 used in later Alpinists. Built better, with balance bridge rather than cock. It is clean, shiny and healthy and runs very well.
New rubber gaskets inside the crown and caseback.
New, good quality genuine leather strap.
