Serviced, very beautiful 1960 Seiko Gyro Marvel, gold plated automatic with manual winding watch in excellent condition.
Gyro Marvel with caliber 290 was the very first Seiko original automatic watch with production starting in 1956.
Beautiful silver linen-textured dial with an intricate crosshatch pattern that gives the surface remarkable depth. Applied gold baton indices and sharp dauphine hands contrast elegantly against the textured background, creating a clean, sophisticated mid-century design. A true stand out.
Gold plated case is in excellent condition, rare for gold plated watches this old.
NOS S signed gold plated Seiko crown. The old one was worn out.
Movement is clean, healthy and runs strong with good accuracy.
