Serviced, Rare 1957 Seiko Automatic with power reserve indicator. Featuring the first Seiko automatic movement, caliber 11A based on A. Schild 1382.
In beautifully aged, all around condition.
Its most distinctive feature is the fan-shaped power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock—an innovative visual element introduced in 1955 to clearly distinguish automatic watches from the hand-wound models that still dominated the market at the time. This intuitive complication allowed the wearer to assess mainspring tension at a glance.
The dial has age related blemishes and patina which only add to its character and uniqueness.
Gold markers and hands are in good condition.
Stainless steel case is in very good condition.
New acrylic crystal.
On a new, brown, top grain leather strap.
Completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated.It runs with strong amplitude and good accuracy.
