Serviced, Rare 1957 Seiko Automatic with power reserve indicator. Featuring the first Seiko automatic movement, caliber 11A based on A. Schild 1382.
In beautifully aged, all around condition.
Its most distinctive feature is the fan-shaped power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock—an innovative visual element introduced in 1955 to clearly distinguish automatic watches from the hand-wound models that still dominated the market at the time. This intuitive complication allowed the wearer to assess mainspring tension at a glance.
Housed in a 14K gold-filled case, the watch reflects the refined finishing expected of a flagship timepiece from this era.
The case shows signs of wear consistent with its age, while retaining its rich 14K gold-filled luster and well-defined lines.
The dial has age related blemishes and patina which only add to its character and uniqueness.
Gold markers and hands are in great condition.
New acrylic crystal.
On a new Seiko crocodile side leather strap valued at 14,300 yen.
Completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and regulated. It runs with very strong amplitude and good accuracy.
