Serviced, very rare, 1954 Seiko Super, 15 jewels antimagnetic, manual winding watch.
Super was released in 1950. It was the first Seiko watch with center second.
The dial has a classic vintage aesthetic, with a clean yet aged look.
The hour markers are combination of numerals and indices, showing a patina that suggests natural aging.
The hands are traditional dauphine or leaf style, which was common in Seiko’s designs of that era.
The case is made of stainless steel. The lugs are proportionate and curve slightly, which was typical for mid-century dress watches. The condition is very for it's age, but there are pitting on the back under the caseback, caused by the sweat and dirt build up over the years.
The crown appears to be original or at least period-correct, complementing the overall design.
Movement was serviced, but due to its age, there is wear and tear on parts. It runs reasonably well for a vintage, but don't expect great accuracy. From my observation, it runs at about +30 sec a day
New acrylic crystal.
New rubber gasket on the back.
On a new, cowhide leather strap by Bambi.
As is the case with most of very old watches, it is small, but it wears big for its size.
